Engage with representatives from Montgomery College, Frederick Community College, and UMBC as well as local biotechnology industry leaders though our Training & Employment in Biotechnology virtual symposium!

This semester-long symposium will take place online (via Zoom) from 4:00 – 4:45 pm on select Monday afternoons throughout the spring semester. Sessions will focus on a variety of topics related to the intersection of viruses, vaccines, and the biotech industry.

This week’s session is: Introduction to Vaccines. An introduction to vaccines and how they work. Types of vaccines and Covid-19 vaccines. Careers in vaccines. Presented by David Koelle, M.D., Professor, Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, University of Washington.
