The Universities at Shady Grove is a campus in Montgomery County where nine Maryland universities host programs that appeal to area employers. Undergraduate students join us having already earned some college credit (usually from a community college) and graduate with a UMBC degree.

Students in Montgomery County Public Schools or Montgomery College may be eligible to join Social Work in Action or STEM Ready. These pathway programs provide extracurricular opportunities and comprehensive support to students on their way to a degree.
