Interested in transferring to pursue your bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, History, Mechanical Engineering, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, or Translational Life Science Technology, all while staying in the Rockville, MD area?

Apply to UMBC and select Shady Grove as your campus of interest to begin your undergraduate academic journey with UMBC-Shady Grove!

  1. Submit your Common App to UMBC and select Shady Grove as your campus of interest;
  2. Request official transcripts from each college or university you have attended to be sent directly from the institution to UMBC’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions after your application is submitted to be considered for admission to UMBC.

Apply as a Transfer Student if you have completed college-level coursework at an institution of higher education after receiving a high school diploma or a GED.

Apply as an Undergraduate Transfer Student

Apply as a First-Year Student if you have or are currently earning your high school diploma or GED but have not earned college credits AFTER earning your diploma or GED.
