UMBC-Shady Grove Fall 2026 New Graduate Student Orientation

Virtual new student orientation for UMBC-Shady Grove’s Biotechnology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and I-O Psychology graduate programs will be held on August 11 at 6 p.m. Orientation is your opportunity to gain the knowledge and tools you need to start your master’s or certificate program with confidence. During the event, you’ll hear from faculty and staff, make academic plans, and ask questions. Orientation is mandatory for all new UMBC-Shady Grove students.
