The ten-course master's degree combines courses in cybersecurity strategy, policy, and management with more technical, hands-on cybersecurity courses that allows students to develop a formal educational program that best meets their individual career development needs.
Students must complete 10 courses (30 credits) as follows: 6 required (18 credits), 4 electives (12 credits).
Required Core Courses (18 credits):
(some may be substituted via transfer credits or alternative UMBC courses)
Other relevant graduate course(s) approved by the Cybersecurity Graduate Program Director, such as from Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Management, Systems Engineering, Health Information Technology (HIT) and Data Science, among others.
